Artistic approach

"With Allégeance, I wanted to explore what it means to dedicate oneself to a belief or to someone. To bear allegiance is sometimes an act of sincere commitment, of faith, of deep attachment... but it can also become a surrender of oneself, a silent submission.

This sculpture seeks to show these two facets: the light of fidelity, and the shadow of renunciation. It is up to each of us to see our own reflection, that of a bond chosen, endured, or perhaps both at the same time."

Sustainability

Respect for the Environment
The choice of black poplar, partly driftwood, underlines a desire to reuse and respect the material. By using natural wood, this work gives a second life to what nature itself has sculpted.

Natural Longevity
Allégeance is built to last. Its stable structure and dense wood give it an understated solidity, designed to stand the test of time without losing its visual power or meaning.
