Artistic approach
"Précieuse" is the first in a series of seven sculptures representing the same female silhouette. I wanted to create a deliberately classical figure, in its bearing and its anchoring, but contemporary in its assumed nudity, in the sobriety of its forms and its openness to interpretation. This piece doesn't claim anything, but it invites us to feel. It becomes a presence, almost a breath, that everyone can perceive in their own way."
